Each living being seeks its natural habitat guided by its instinct and through experimentation. So birds build their nests in trees and some fish shelter in coral reefs, discovering that these “homes” largely satisfy their needs.
Humans are no different and our instinctive choice was always to inhabit caves.

Today, in modern times, in some cultures there has been a return to this ancestral idea, which has been proven to be wise, and homes and whole villages have been built within the rock of mountains, generating comfortable homes which are warm in the winter and cool in the summer, isolated from the exterior and very safe. There is a lot of documentary evidence that shows that these “cave homes”, many of which are located in the south of Spain, have resisted earthquakes, fires and all types of disaster, being passed down from parents to their children and require minimum maintenance.
From when I was small, I lived with my siblings in one of these traditional “cave homes” in the small town of Villanueva de las Torres. These humble homes are currently being sold on the market at prices that are much higher than conventional homes. Together with what we already knew about their advantages, there are new studies which prove the good sense of this way of life and indicate new advantages which we cannot ignore, but …Who can build a home of this type without incurring huge costs?

Nobody...Until now.

The Biovivienda is the solution to many of today’s problems when constructing homes that combine the advantages of both traditional and modern homes. It does not generate any environmental impact, reducing construction and maintenance costs.
Using a highly resistant modular system specifically designed to be completed in record time and incorporating the best thermal and acoustic insulation on the market - earth, it maintains a stable temperature and humidity throughout the year, generating a microclimate in the inside. This means that additional heating or refrigeration systems are unnecessary; it can withstand natural disasters better than any other construction and provides its inhabitants with an unprecedented security.

When the design and structure of the first Biovivienda were completed, we wanted to completely break away from the original idea of the cave home, maintaining only its essence while leaping ahead to create what would be known as the home of the 21st Century.
This is why, as well as a complete personalisation of each model, we equip it with everything necessary to satisfy the most demanding of homeowners.

• The whole property allows the installation of the latest in home automation.
• The plumbing systems have double flexible pipes whereby in the case of a leak, the installation is substituted using the old pipes with no need to sanitise the system.
• The inside of the building, contrary to what may be initially expected, is very luminous, and has adjustable natural daylight conduits with no extra consumption.
• Security is one of our hallmarks. As well as the most advanced surveillance video systems and the recommended passive security systems, the Biovivienda has a device which activates when an intruder breaks into the property, which in a matter of seconds, fills the property with an innocuous smoke barrier, impairing vision without damaging the contents.
• The windows are equipped with a patented system which enable all the bars to be released from inside with a simple mechanism, converting each window into an emergency exit while respecting the solidity of fixed bars.
• The solar energy system has been adapted to integrate into the Biovivienda so that it cannot be seen from any angle, blending into the structure due to its special design. We have also developed a drinking water recirculation system in order to guarantee the correct temperature from the first drop.
• The concern for water should be a priority from the outset, so all the Bioviviendas are equipped with their own reserves in seal pots with the only hermetic sealing system in the world Rainfall and water from the house are treated and recovered for different uses.
